Brave troops of Border Security Force are not only guarding India’s International borders but also creating a sense of security and providing humanitarian aids to border populace under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajai Singh, Inspector General, BSF North Bengal Frontier, Kadamtala.
Through the concerted efforts of troops of Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Border Security Force deployed in the border area of 98 Battalion of BSF under Jalpaiguri Sector in North Bengal Frontier of BSF on Indo-Bangladesh border of Coochbehar district of West Bengal rescued a bordering area village one minor girl R/o Vill-76 Nistarf Pakritala, PS-Mekhliganj, Distt-Coochbehar (West Bengal) from trafficking and intercepted her alongwith the eloper from the general area of Ambari village under Mekhliganj Police Station in Coochbehar district of West Bengal with the help of police. She was missing from her house since 06 Jan 2023 while attending coaching class near Helapakri Bazar under PS Mekhliganj. She was lured by one youth resident of surrounding area under PS Mekhliganj. Further, missing girl was rescued safely and handed over to her parents on 10 Jan 2023.
Border Security Force always helps the needy border residing people in times of their emergent requirement for assistance and evacuation. “Sentinels of Borders” are not only carrying out their duties on the Indo-Bangladesh border but also perform humanitarian role for the border people.
