9 universities without vice-chancellor in the state, report called for by higher education department

The education administration is facing problems due to the absence of vice-chancellors in several universities of the state. The higher education department has called for a report from the universities on this. According to sources, 9 universities of the state including Kolkata (Kolkata) and North Bengal (North Bengal) do not have permanent vice-chancellors and temporary vice-chancellors have expired. However, it is said that most of the 9 universities have sent their reports.
This report will be sent by the Education Department to the State Chief Secretary Harikrishna Dwivedi. The chief minister’s office is also inquiring about the absence of a vice-chancellor in the university. It is known that institutions like North Bengal University, Alipurduar University do not have a permanent vice-chancellor. Students are also facing problems. Letters were sent to these universities on February 9.
The details were asked for. Many have no permanent vice-chancellor except Calcutta University. The Higher Education Department has already informed the Raj Bhavan about this incident. But still no decision has come from Acharya CV Anand Bose’s office.
Swapan Rakshit, joint registrar of North Bengal University, said in this context, “We informed the problem of North Bengal University and Hill University on Friday. The report has also been sent to Alipurduar University. In this situation, a struggle has started to appoint a new vice-chancellor.
