In one of an intelligence based operation, acting on a tip-off regarding attempt of smuggling gold biscuits from Bangladesh to India, hawk eyed troops of 61 Bn BSF under Sector HQ BSF Raiganj along with Field G Team Patiram deployed in District Dakshin Dinajpur, apprehended two Indian women trying to smuggle 04 Gold biscuits from Bangladesh to India through Haripokhur gate by concealing the gold in their body. 
The value of the seized gold weighing 467.190 grms is worth Rs 28,73,218.70/-. As per the apprehended women, they were promised to be paid Rs 1000/- after delivering the consignment to some one in Hili market. Apprehended duo along with seized Gold were handed over to PS HILI for further legal action.
Yet, in another intelligence based operation, alert troops of 6th Bn BSF under Jalpaiguri Sector arrested 02 Bangladeshi national and 02 Indians along with a light vehicle at 11:30 on 13 May 2023. During questioning of the apprehended persons, it was found that the Bangladeshi national were trying to enter into India to earn a better livelihood. The apprehended persons were handed over to PS Mekhliganj along with seized items for further course of legal action.
Apart from this, in another intelligence based operation, 400 yaba tablets (total estimated value is about Rs. 2,00,000/-) and suspected 40 grams of brown sugar in powder form and 80 grams in liquid form were seized in the border area of Domutha, in the area of responsibility of 174 Bn BSF under Sector Headquarters Raiganj BSF.
