Scientists are intensifying their efforts to find aliens

Scientists have intensified their search for alien creatures, which may be technologically far ahead of humans. Scientists are searching for parts of our galaxy where the density of stars is very high. They are looking for a signal that comes from aliens. Until now, scientists have relied on limited frequency radio signals to detect alien technology. But under the new effort, scientists are focusing on different types of signals that can communicate with different parts of space.

There are many possibilities

Akshay Suresh, an Indian-born graduate student at Cornell University, has published a paper in the Astronomical Journal. There he says that if they find the category of signal they are looking for, it will be clear that ‘we are here.’

“It’s possible that extraterrestrials use these signals to send messages across the galaxy,” Suresh said. Departure from one place in space to another before the star explodes.

The effort Suresh is talking about is called Breakthrough Listen Investigation for Period Spectral Signals (BLIPSS). It is a joint effort of Cornell University and Breakthrough Listen. It is a $100 million project launched to search for aliens.

Caution is required

Suresh’s colleagues in this study are Vishal Gajjar of the SETI Institute and the University of California, Berkeley. He said, “We are technically searching for signals from modern alien civilizations. But the nature of these signals is still a mystery. We have no idea about their characteristics.Under this project, with a telescope located in West Virginia, a location 27 thousand light-years away in the center of the Milky Way is being searched. This area is smaller than 200th of the moon. There are 8 million stars in this region. Suresh explained that if there is life elsewhere in space, it would likely be on a planet that has rocks and that orbits a star that is neither too hot nor too cold.

But while these scientists are engaged in searching for signals from outside, they do not send any signals from Earth, which indicate that there is life on Earth. Suresh explained, “My opinion is that sending a signal that we are here can be dangerous. When we have no idea of their intentions.” His colleague Gazzar said that the decision to send a message to aliens should be made only after there is a global consensus that it is safe to do so.”
