Jamia Millia Islamia University Vice-Chancellor Nazma Akhter said on Sunday that permission has been received from the central government to open the medical college. Nazma Akhter said at the centenary convocation ceremony of Jamia Millia Islamia University that as Vice-Chancellor she has always requested for a medical college on behalf of her students and teachers.
Jamia Millia Islamia centenary convocation ceremony was celebrated at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Sunday. The convocation ceremony was presided over by Vice President Jagadip Dhankar and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan presided. Thanking the Prime Minister, Education Minister, President and Vice President, Nazma Akhtar said, our hard work has been successful.
Our dream of several years has come true today. Akhtar also said that Jamia Millia Islamia University is planning to set up an international campus in the Middle East. Dharmendra Pradhan said on the occasion that Jamia will be turned into a research center in a city for global health issues. That should be our commitment.
