128 Sikkimese students in Manipur has been brought back safely from Manipur.

Under the constant supervision of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), total 128 Sikkimese students in Manipur has been brought back safely from Manipur.

They were safely departed to Kolkata yesterday from Imphal Airport and today being transhipped to Siliguri. All airfare , roadway and accompanied expenses were taken care by Government of Sikkim. They are expected to arrive at Siliguri today evening.

Since the time Manipur affected by uncertainty HCM Shri P.S. Golay talked with Union Government, Chief Minister of Manipur , Army and local authorities to bring back Sikkimese students from the state.

The Government of Sikkim held a high level meeting chaired by Chief Secretary and issued helpline numbers assigned to PRO to HCM.

HCM Shri P.S. Golay personally monitored entire operation to bring back our students and citizens. During the entire operation Chief Minister’s Office , Resident Commissioner- Sikkim House, Delhi , Sikkim House-Guwahati, Sikkim House Kolkota , Home Department, Siliguri , SNT Division- Siliguri and various officials were duly involved.
