Former Indian Skipper And BCCI President Cricketer Sourav Ganguly Is Set To Be The Brand Ambassador Of Tripura

Sourav Gangopadhyay, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, is the brand ambassador of the tourism department of Tripura, a BJP-ruled state in the northeast! In this regard, the BJP government of Tripura made a proposal to Maharaj a few days ago. According to sources, Sourav has agreed to that proposal.

On Tuesday, Tripura Tourism Minister Sushant Chowdhury went to Behala and met Sourav. Uttamkumar Chakma, Secretary of Tourism Department of Tripura Government, Tapankumar Das, Director of Department of Tourism, were present with him at Maharaj’s house.

Posting the picture of the meeting on Facebook, Sushant Babu wrote, ‘We need wide publicity and proper branding to bring the tourism of Tripura state to the whole world. For this we need a popular brand ambassador who is known all over the world! Who could be a more popular personality than our beloved grandpa, Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, to showcase Tripura’s tourism to the world?’

The minister also wrote, ‘As a part of this plan and idea, I had a courtesy meeting with Sourav Gangopadhyay, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, at Behala’s house in Kolkata today. Besides, we discussed various issues related to the development of tourism in Tripura. I am hopeful that Dada will respond to our request despite his busy schedule and very soon we will get positive results from today’s meeting with Sourav Gangopadhyay Dada!’
